Passion
The passion flower has always been a favorite of mine, it is somewhat whimsicle in it's design. I have had people tell me that it looks like a ballerina or a dancing dervish. The amazing pattern of this blossom is intricate in it's own right. Only the beauty of Nature could delight the sences like the bloom of a passion flower. Just to glance upon this spectical is a wonder and delight. I hope you enjoy this vision as much as I have enjoyed capturing it on film.

This delicate blossom can only be a vision of Nature at it’s finest. I think the passion flower is a statement that only Nature can bring to the eye. I have been told that it looks like a ballerina or a dancing dervish. I find the pattern and color to be whimsicle and inviting. To take macro’s of this beauty are truely a delight for me. I hope you enjoy them as well. The passion flower is a vine plant and can be found in most parts of the world. I feel privledged to have it growing in my garden.

  1. Great photos of this flower. It is really different from most flowers. I want one in my garden. Are they easy to grow?

They are very easy to grow, there are many different varieties. There are purple, red and white. It is a vine plant. The flowers are so amazing and some of them bare fruit. The ones I have do not produce fruit and the pods are poisonous. I have many seed from this vine this year. You can find them through out North America. Send me your address and I will send you some seeds. They grow quickly and will propigate themselves. I had so many this past season they were coming out my ears!!LOL Thanks for the interest. Just don’t eat them. There are some varieties that have a very sweet fruit that you can eat. Ebay has some and there is a custom in India that the brothers give them to their sisters that are about to marry. I think they make a necklace with them. I had one gentleman tell me last year that he made one for his sister. I love there exotic look. Thanks for the interest in this flower. I have spent the last 13 years planting exotic plants. Thanks again

Love the macro shot of this flower. This is also Tennessee’s state wildflower and is just about one the most unusual flowers you will come upon.
