I was reading all of the comments about fences in our photo’s, and this shot came to mind. Let me explain…I was in downtown Millville, getting ready to load my tools and move to the next job, when I just happened to look over a fence into the yard next to me. There about five feet in, was one of the prettiest Hibiscus blooms I’ve ever seen! I just wanted to get a shot of this flower. The only problem was a very large dog, and no one home! So…I just took my camera, set it the best I could, and held it out at arms length, and started shooting! I could not see through the viewfinder, I was just hoping to get some good ‘general’ pics before the dog woke up. Well, the fence I was leaning on wasn’t the strongest thing in the world, and it started to lean (and make some creaking noises!), which alerted the dog….he came running, I almost dropped the camera while trying not to break the fence or fall into the yard!!
I didn’t even look at the pictures, until I was at my next job, and …well, you can see what I happened to capture!
Just be ready, you never know what will be over the fence, or around the next bend. Just make sure you have your camera!
