I am a SOUTH Jersey native, I grew up in Estell Manor.(Second largest city in N.J.((in area!). Plenty of woods to explore, trails to walk on, streams to sit by…You get the picture! I love being outside, marveling at and immersing myself in God’s creation! I started out with a ‘Brownie’ camera, at the age of nine, and never really stopped!
My Grandfather, and my Father were always taking pictures, and I thought that by doing the same, I was just being normal!!
I got serious with photography when I turned 19, and found myself in the USAF, in Korea. The PX was a great place to buy tax free stuff!! I settled on a Pentax Spotmatic II with a Vivatar 70-210 zoom, w/Macro. I fell in love with the macro lens, and the things that it reveled to me!
I really enjoyed taking pictures of things things that people looked at, but didn’t really see. I still do that now, with lots of my pictures.
I have had the opportunity of a lifetime, by being employed by a large communications company, which enabled me to be on the road every day! I got to drive on roads that no one but the people that live on them knew they exist!! It has proven to be a wonderful thing, to be able to see ALL of South Jersey.
Most of my images come from being attentive, while driving down these roads! A good majority of my shots were taken with a wonderful Fuji Finepix 5100. It still is a great little digital camera, that I carry every day.
I am currently using ( and learning about) a Nikon D300. I spent my life dreaming of having a camera of this caliber, and now I hope to live up to it’s capabilities!!
I have been married to Leslie, a wonderful woman, for over 30 years, and we have 4 grown children.
I have loads of pictures on Flickr , and I am currently building a new web page at www.micamrazai.com
