POSTING DIRECTIONS
1. login at http://www.naturesdomain.us/wp-login.php
2. On the left side under "Posts" click "Add New"

3. Type in a title for the post – try to make this as descriptive as possible but not too long. It's meant to be a one line title. (shown in diagram below)
4. Type out your post in the first large text box, not the Excerpt box (Do not type in the excerpt box as is doesn't display properly with our layout) There are two modes to edit in "Visual" and "HTML" modes. The "Visual" mode is for more basic users and the "HTML" mode is for slightly more advanced users. Most things can be achieved in either view so feel free to use what suits you. Both views are displayed below and circled in red on each view is how to insert links. (shown in diagram below)

5. type in tags in the "Post Tags" section on the right side (as many as you want to add) – these are the equivalent of keywords or the same as "tags" in Flickr. They will become links to other posts with the same tag in your final blog post. (shown in diagram below)

6. Choose the Category that applies to your post. Make sure the "Categories" check box is NOT CHECKED. You can choose more than 1 category if the post fits, please don't post it in all categories as will make navigation for visitors difficult, only post in appropriate category. If you feel that you have a post or multiple posts that should deserve their own category, please contact me and we can decide if we should add a new category or not. (we have a limited amount of space on the home page for categories so we can't add too many) (shown in diagram below)

UPLOADING AND INSERTING IMAGES
images are not required but recommended to have the Natures Domain watermark on them. This will help identify where they came from if the images are referenced on another website. If you are able to and would like to watermark your image, go here to download the logo. Images should be no wider than 700 pixels I've had issues with uploading very large images in that it seems to stall the uploader, if this happens, check the media library after the error and the images you are uploading should be there anyway sometimes.
The complete directions to upload and insert images can be found here
7. Steps to add default post image - Every post requires an image that will be associated with it. This images will appear on the home page for that post and in the different sections of the website. This images should be representative of the particular post you are writing. I usually try to choose my strongest image for that post since it will be seen the most. It is also recommended to use a horizontal image because vertical images will be cropped unpredictably in the many different uses for the website. You can find directions for adding a default image here.
8. PROOF READ YOUR POST BEFORE SUBMITTING. You can click the "Save Draft" button to save your post and finish it later. You can come back to edit any post that you have created at any time, even after it has been published, but we recommend you finalize your post and make sure it is the way you want it before you submit it. DO NOT click the "Submit for Review" button until you have finalized your post.
Click the "Preview" button on the top right to view the post and check everything to make sure it's correct before clicking the "Submit for Review" button.

Once you are happy with the post, close the preview window and click the "Submit for Review" button and one of our editors will review the post for any mistakes and publish it for you.
If you have any questions or problems please post them here and we will try to resolve them for you
Thanks,
Ray
