I have installed Google Analytics on Nature's Domain. It's a free service that tracks all the traffic to the website and a ton of other information about it. To view the current statistics go to http://www.google.com/analytics , click the "Access Analytics" button on the top right and put in the username:info@naturesdomain.us
password:naturesdomain2
Once you are logged in you can click the "View report" button to see the stats for the last month. There is a ton of different information you can access by clicking on the left column and choosing the different reports. For those not familiar with Google Analytics most labels are somewhat self explanatory but the "Bounce Rate" is the percentage of people who go to http://www.naturesdomain.us and pretty much immediately leave. They most likely got to the site accidentally or didn't like what they saw when they first got there. The last time I checked we were running a bounce rate around %37 which is actually pretty darn good. Among all the website I'm involved with, this is the best I've seen.
Traffic from your computer is most likely being counted and tracked. If you would like to remove yourself from the Google Analytics tracking, which will give us more accurate reporting as far as actual visitors and not ourselves you can do the following.
1. highlight and copy the following code:
javascript:pageTracker._setVar('exclude');alert('Custom segment has been set. Time to create a filter.')
3. select and delete everything in the address bar (where it says http://www.naturesdomain.us) at the top of your browser
4. paste in the code you copied in step 1 and hit enter on the keyboard.
5. You should see a message that says "Custom segment has been set. Time to create a filter"
That's it you will not be recorded in the statistics anymore
Lastly, please do not change or mess with any of the setting in Google Analytics. I've created this google account just for Nature's Domain users and if things keep changing or requiring my time to fix them I may have to cancel the whole thing.
